Billing & Plans
Strata offers four plan tiers — Free, Team, Business, and Enterprise. Pricing is per organization, not per seat, so your whole team is covered under one subscription.
Plan overview
Every new organization starts on the Free plan. You can upgrade at any time from Organization Settings > Billing. Plans gate creation only, never access — if you downgrade, you can still view and export all existing projects, members, and guests but cannot create new ones until you are back under the limit.

Capacity limits
Each plan sets limits on the number of projects, organization members, and project guests you can create. Guest limits count distinct users across all projects in the organization, not per-project.

When you hit a limit, Strata shows a clear message naming your current plan and the limit. You can upgrade directly from the message or from your billing settings.
Upgrading and downgrading
Navigate to Organization Settings > Billing to manage your subscription. Only organization Owners can change the plan.
Upgrading
Click Upgrade on the plan you want. You will be redirected to Stripe checkout to enter your payment details. Once payment is confirmed, the new plan takes effect immediately — higher limits and additional features are available right away.
Downgrading
Click Downgrade on a lower plan, or use Manage Billing to access the Stripe customer portal. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. Existing resources are never deleted or locked — you retain full read and export access to everything. You just cannot create new projects, invite new members, or send new guest invitations until you are back under the lower plan's limits.
No trial required
There is no separate trial period. The Free plan is fully functional — one project, three members, and two guests with all core features. If you need to evaluate with more capacity, upgrade to Team for a month and downgrade if it is not the right fit.
Annual vs monthly billing
Paid plans are available with monthly or annual billing. Annual billing saves you two months compared to paying monthly:

You can toggle between monthly and annual billing on the billing page before starting checkout. Existing subscribers can switch billing intervals through the Stripe customer portal.
Enterprise
The Enterprise plan is for organizations that need unlimited capacity, SSO, and dedicated support. Enterprise includes everything in Business plus:
- Unlimited members and guests — no capacity limits at all
- Single sign-on (OIDC) — integrate with your identity provider for automatic provisioning. See the SSO documentation for setup details
- Dedicated support — priority assistance and custom onboarding
- Custom data retention and SLA
